THE UNSPOKEN, is a semi-realistic stray canine RP based in a fictional town in the middle of Northern Canada. The year is 2020 and the town itself has been abandoned by humans. Canines and the additional wildlife are free to claim anything as their own. We welcome every level of writer and have a word minimum of 200. The sitewide plot is influenced by the constant weather changes, natural disasters, and the battle for survival within the Canadian wilderness. All of which, is member driven with endless possibilities! Will pack politics become dangerous? will the canines have to band together to fight off starvation? Its up to you to decide.

We are officially OPEN! Welcome, everyone! Once things get a bit more active, we'll start working on packs and plot ideas but for now enjoy the site and if you have any questions just approach one of our staff members!
ONE ACCOUNT per member. Must be 16 years or older to join. You will keep all of your characters on your main account and use an alias that does not contain numbers or vulgar words. If we find out that you have created an additional account you will immediately be banned.
SEMI REALISTIC. Our site is considered semi-realistic which allows you to use your imagination for any situation you encounter. We do not allow fantasy type characters but we do allow you to humanize your canines. Emotions, actions, and ways of thinking.
BE RESPECTFUL. We do not under any circumstances tolerate bullying, cruelty, or bad attitudes. If you don't have anything nice to say then don't say anything at all and remove yourself from my forum. Furthermore, don't ever argue or attempt to undermine a staff member. You will be banned. We want our members to feel safe and enjoy themselves on TU. We will go above and beyond to ensure that this is possible. If you feel harassed, threatened, or uncomfortable with anyone's actions or words, please immediately PM our admin and it will be personally handled.
STEALING = BANNING. This should be common sense but occasionally it isn't. Do not steal other peoples graphic work, written creations, bios, character ideas, or plots. Especially don't steal coding from another site or use an image that is not for your use. If you find that someone has stolen your work, plagiarized in any way, or used something of yours in a way it wasn't intended, please contact one of the staff members and it will be handled promptly.
ALL LEVELS OF WRITERS. We do accept every level of writer, however, we have a word count of 200. In-completed posts are unacceptable, as is being just a few words shy of the minimum. Yes, we are sticklers for the rules. Yes, you will be warned if we catch you doing it. Quality and a decent quantity is what keeps posts active and exciting. If someone doesn't have enough to go off of then they're more than likely going to "forget" to reply to you.
FRIEND GROUPS. Cliques are not tolerated on TU. We understand that individuals may get along better with certain members better than others but we do not allow you to exclude or create specific groups that you cling to. If we find that you are only plotting or threading with specific members, we will ask you to broaden yourself and if you cannot, then you will be warned.
THIRD PERSON ONLY. Due to the need to keep things equal across the board we only allow characters to be role-played in third person.
GRAPHIC SHOPS. can request payment for their work ONLY in the form of currency used here on TF
CHARACTER ACCEPTANCE. Your characters must be accepted before you begin role-playing, period. Once you have completed your character you must add [READY FOR REVIEW] to the title and our staff will either approve or decline your bio, given their reasoning. The only time bios are declined is because they have not followed the bio form guidelines, the image set you are using is not copyrighted correctly, or you are copying a fellow character.
[attr="class","likedosub"]CHARACTER RULES
FILL OUT ENTIRE FORM. Please read and fill out the character form provided the way it is intended to be filled out. You may adjust the form to how you'd like but word counts are non-negotiable and your character will not be accepted until the bio is complete.
GOD-MODELING. Characters must have flaws. A character that is perfect or flawless will be denied.
CHARACTER AGE. Characters must be older than one year. Pups born on the site will start at age 2 months. A Pup Pass is offered in the Shop in which you can purchase and then create a character under a year old. This is the only exception to the age requirement.
AGING. Please be realistic to the advanced age of your character. Large dogs often times do not live past 10-12 within pet homes. The Unspoken is a stray canine based site so with the spirit of realism, keep in mind that your character will likely never exceed the recommended age for its breed, minus a few years due to living conditions.
SEXUALITY. We encourage you to create characters as you please in regards to their sexuality.
REALISM. All characters should have normal breed specific coat colors. We do not allow unnatural canines on TU.
IMAGE SET. Again, we do not allow copyrighted or Non-Derivative image sets to be used. Only CC images are allowed and we require crediting the owner of the images when it is due. If you need assistance in finding a set, let the staff know. You may choose to not have an image for your character at all, but we ask that all sets are actual photos and not art creations. ALSO, image sets can be shared as long as you have the original role-players permission.
PHYSICAL, MENTAL HEALTH. Please be realistic in terms of health problems with your characters. If a character is sick or has a personality disorder, ensure that you are able to play the character with said illnesses to the best of the conditions description.
ONE MONTH CREATION TIME. You have one month to finish your biography. If you are going to take longer than one month make sure that you have a posted notice in the hiatus thread, otherwise your character will be sent to "The Lost" board.
BANNED BREEDS. We will keep a banned breeds list available and also a list of encouraged breeds.
NAME CLAIM. Always check the name and set claim before creating a character.
WILD SPECIES. We do allow wild species including but not limited to: Wolves, Dingos, Wolfdogs, Foxes, and Coyotes. However, these species need to be purchased in the shop. FIRST TIME MEMBERS will be permitted to create one wild species for free upon joining, with the exception of a Hyena or a Maned Wolf.
POWER PLAYING. is not permitted and will cause you to receive a warning. Unless a role player has permitted you to power play, you must respect the role players ability to handle their own characters. Permission must be stated at the top of your thread by said role-player in order for staff to view.
LIQUID TIME. Is allowed, and encouraged. However, make sure to keep track of the timeline you have for your character.
IC SEASONS. Seasons will be changed every 2 months by staff. Each season will allow for reasonable weather to be permitted and natural disasters to occur.
TERMS. You must post the terms of your judged or unjudged fight before it begins within your thread. This includes but is not limited to: word limit, time limit, number of dodges, number of attacks, wounds, outcome options.
TIME LIMIT. If a time limit is not established, the staff will require two weeks to be enacted. If the challenge has been accepted but not replied to within those two weeks it will be considered a forfeit.
ISSUES ARISE. If you have a problem with a fight or the results you may pm a staff member in order to seek assistance or an answer to your questions.
JUDGED. You must request for a fight to be judged. This will be based on vocabulary, grammar, punctuation, and realism. You will be rated 1-10 on each category. The winner receives 50 coins, while the loser receives 25.
UNJUDGED. Fights or spars that are unjudged must have minimal outcomes. Small wounds, stealing of small prey or items. They will still be viewed by the staff but it is up to the role players to decide how the fight ends.
LITTERS. A single litter can produce up to 8 pups, but will always result in at least 2. A female can only produce two litters within an IC Year. A two-month time span must occur between said female's litters. A single ROLE PLAYER may only have 4 litters per OOC year. A breeding and birthing thread is REQUIRED.
BREEDING AND VIOLENCE. Permission is required to breed, fight, murder, or rape. None of these things can be forced, no matter the circumstance. ALWAYS FADE TO BLACK. We do not allow sexually mature contents.
[attr="class","likedosub"]PACK CREATION AND LEADERSHIP RULES
CREATION IDEAS. You must submit your pack idea to the staff for review and approval. Five characters must already have committed loyalty to your pack IC for the idea to be submitted. Make sure to thoroughly explain and plan your idea.
IMMUNITY. Leaders receive one month of immunity before they are able to be challenged. All challenges are permitted but must be submitted to the staff.
TERRITORY. Each Pack receives one sub-board in a setting board of your choice. With each additional 10 members, you may request another sub-board for territory expansion.
PACK SURVIVAL. You must maintain a steady food and item supply for your pack to survive. This is based on a realistic set of guidelines and you must require some form of hunting, gathering, and patrolling of your borders. This can be used to earn members of your pack a higher rank.
# OF PACKS. We only allow four packs at one time on TF. Small groups can be created but they will hold no actual standing and will never gain any form of territories to claim as their own.
